Decisions, Choices, Options, and Some Diddy Boppin

Aye baeeee-beeeee…WE LIVE IN HURR!

Instant gratification or delayed gratification…which one do you tend to pick? Mannnn…shoot. lol Lately, I have become bit more of a friend with delayed gratification. Me and him have been dating for abouttttt…2 weeks. Since I’ve gotten back on my Keto journey, I have been devoted to not letting myself slip up. (I will go more in depth on my progress on this diet at the end of the week.) The way I want to get in these little shorts by summer with minimum dents, I have no choice but to choose a healthy temple rather than a double whopper or chic-fil-a fries. You feel meh?

Which type of gratification have you been flirting with? I promise you…instant gratification needs a cream to remove if you let it get too close. Just the tea on him ok!

So what do you need to meet delayed gratification, nicknamed the Big DG? Not Dollar General people…gosh yall silly.

David says it best in Psalms 27:14

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

So good he had to say that thang TWICE!

We rush jobs, opportunities, relationships, and sex. Why do we need books like The Wait by Devon Franklin and Megan Good Franklin, or others that are on the topic of waiting, for it to click? Is it that we don’t trust him to deliver? Or is it that we don’t want to wait for him to deliver? For me, it is a 2 out of 2. I have issues giving God my all in decisions and I also have issues waiting. Dang pimpin! What about you guys? Don’t leave me in the water with Peter!

I still to this day regret the treatment of most of my relationships. I would either rush or just quit on it because it wasn’t working on my time. For some reason I thought my time mattered. Hilarious. It doesn’t. My time will leave me jobless, homeless and single as a dollar bill. I cannot allow my choices to hinder my growth any longer. We all can’t keep wasting the God-given time we currently have. You could get to the gates and God tell you everything he wanted for you but what you missed out on because you wouldn’t listen or be obedient. That really sucks. I would just fall out. “LORD JESUS DON’T DO ME LIKE THIS!! I DIDN’T KNOW HE WAS THE ONE, HE KEPT TAKING TOO LONG TO TEXT ME BACK THOUGH!” lol I would be that one giving excuses at the pearly gates.

So basically, wait on anything that you know is not worth you losing your purpose for. Ohhhh… I like thatttt. It’s not worth you losing that opportunity. It’s not worth you missing your husband 10 times because he didn’t hit every check box on your list. It’s not worth you working a dead end job because you weren’t patient for an additional week so the right job could give you that call. Anything worth having, is worth waiting for. Literally. It took me 2 weeks to put out another blog…prime example of worth waiting for right. LOL YES IMMA TOOT MY HORN! LEAVE ME ALONE! Toot…Toot.

Love God, Love Yourself,

Love Krys

Word of the Blog:

So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.

Isaiah 30:18
